Captain Dave Cohen is a United States Coast Guard Licensed Captain. He has fished the waters off NJ for over 30 years starting as a kid fishing from the Atlantic Highlands Marina Pier. While he spends countless hours fishing for striped bass in the back bay and along the shore in the spring and fall, his passion is Northeast Canyon Fishing. He is just as comfortable cutting bait, setting lines, and running the cockpit all night as he is at the helm. Anyone is welcome on the bridge to talk shop, ask questions, or simply enjoy the view. He and his crew are absolute perfectionists when it comes to offshore fishing and are always trying new techniques and fishing gear.

For our troling gear, we primarily run Penn International and Shimano Tiagra 2-Speed Reels. We will normally troll up to 13 lines depending on conditions and use a combination of Sterling Tackle Spreader Bars, Joe Shutes, Daisy Chains, Dredges, and Ballyhoo in the spread. Our reels are backed with 500 yards of JB Hollow Core Spectra and up to 200 yards of mono topshots to provide plenty of margin to fight larger fish for extended periods of time.
